What is the new validity date of the electronic signature and in which cases can you use it?
The validity of the public key certificate for mobile signature users has been extended to two years. An announcement to this effect was made today by the Service for Information Technology and Cybersecurity.
Today we are also marking eight years since the launch of the mobile signature service in the Republic of Moldova. In this context, the authorities announce that more than 245.000 mobile signatures have been successfully issued so far to around 70 thousand unique users. More than 26.000 mobile signatures have been issued since the beginning of this year.
Citizens and businesses can use mobile signatures for a wide spectrum of public services such as:
· electronic reporting to CNAM (e-CNAM);
· electronic reporting to the CNAS (e-CNAS);
· submitting the electronic tax return;
· checking the taxpayer’s current account;
· requesting civil status documents;
· the apostille service (e-apostille);
· issuing and receiving electronic invoices (e-Invoice);
· property record;
· applying for activity licences (e-Licensing);
· online order of excise stamps (COTA);
· online ordering of standard forms;
· online filing of copyright and intellectual property applications (e-AGEPI).
The service is also used in the banking sector, being the first to interact in business processes.
In the Republic of Moldova, the mobile signature service is provided by the mobile telephone operators Orange and Moldcell.
