Undertakings and non-commercial organisations which have established temporary and/or stationary unemployment in accordance with Articles 80 and 801 of the Labour Code may benefit from the subsidy mechanism established by Law No 69. with regard to the introduction of measures during the state of public health emergency and the amendment of certain legislative acts (Article II) by 30 September 2020.

Today, 1 September 2020, Government Decision No 653 of 26 August 2020, extending the application of the subsidy mechanism until the end of the current month, entered into force and was published in SG No 221-225.

We would point out that the method of granting the subsidy is laid down in Order No 58. since 29 April 2020, the Ministry of Finance has provided for the subsidising of the amount of income tax paid, compulsory State social security contributions payable by the employer, compulsory individual State social security contributions and compulsory health care insurance premiums in the form of a percentage contribution payable by the employer and the employee.

The size of the grant awarded varies according to the category of beneficiary subjects.
