The Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODSME) and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) have relaunched a media product in the Republic of Moldova for entrepreneurs and business consultants in Moldova, including in the Transnistrian region. Business Portaltoday, 14 November, at the Centre of Excellence in ICT Tekwill.The opening of the event was attended by Iulia Costin-Iabanji, Secretary General of State, Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure of the Republic of Moldova who mentioned that "Small and medium-sized enterprises face a number of obstacles in the Republic of Moldova, among the most important being access to information resources. Business portal it welcomes Moldovan entrepreneurs to fill their information gap and is an important tool to raise awareness, improve business knowledge and skills of managers and company staff, "said Iulia Costin-Iabanji.

Ghenadie Crețu, coordinator of the Migration and Development Programme, IOM Moldova, stressed that the portal would become an efficient and useful platform for Moldovan small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as a bridge to increase trust between the two banks of the Dniester River. “Access to information and innovation is the engine of an economy. In this context, the www.business.md portal aims to become an important glue in this process,” said Ghenadie Crețu.
Petru Gurgurov, Acting Director of ODIMM, stressed that the aim of this platform was to facilitate access to information for both potential entrepreneurs and SMEs themselves, starting with data on starting a business in the Republic of Moldova and ending with support tools. “Entrepreneurs will be able to receive the necessary information step by step for the development of their business. At the same time, it was considered necessary to provide the business community with a web portal, through which the entrepreneur from the Republic of Moldova would be informed of the latest legislative/regulatory changes in the field of doing business”, reiterated Petru Gurgurov. Andrei Crigan, representative of the consulting company Gateway & Partners, Association of Business People of Moldova and Constantin VIERU, President of the Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry Republic of Moldova-Romania reiterated the importance of the Business Portal for Entrepreneurs, hoping that it would add value to the entrepreneurial environment.
Irina Polisciuc, business provider, Dnestr Enterprise, Tighina particularly appreciated the accessibility of the portal for entrepreneurs in the Nistrean area, who will be able to benefit from truthful information, including in Russian. The young entrepreneur, Daniela Dohotaru-Gritcan, was delighted about the usefulness of this portal, noting that "The Business portal provides the necessary information support, talent, creativity and a certain amount of luck are still needed. These are the ingredients of a successful business”.
