17 March 2025, Chisinau – The first beneficiary of the programme is an entrepreneur in the Congress, with almost 40 employees, providing catering and event organisation services. The funding, which it has accessed, will be used to install a photovoltaic system with invertor trifazed 40 kW and 109 solar panels with a total capacity of 59.95 kW to reduce energy costs and contribute to the energy independence of the business.

The Entrepreneurship Development Organisation within the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalisation announces the issuance of the first Financing Decision under the programme, make the Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) Bank of Poland signed under the agreement signed between ODA and BC FinComBank S.A.
The loan amount amounted to lei 548 thousand, while the value of the investment project amounts to RON 710 thousand.

In addition, according to the provisions of the Financing Product, the beneficiary will have the opportunity to participate in an international study visit organised by Solidarity Fund to fully cover the related expenses. This initiative will facilitate the exchange of best practices and the development of energy efficiency skills.

We stress that applicants and beneficiaries of the financing product make BGK investments a grant in the form of technical assistance, which includes several essential components. They shall have access to direct advice for the training of entrepreneurial skills through 10 thematic training dedicated to HMMs.

Applicants may also receive individual advice for the preparation of the credit documentation, in the form of business vouchers of between EUR 500 and EUR 1000, depending on the complexity of the investment project, aimed at drawing up business plans and preparing the funding file.

The programme also foresees the organisation of international study visits for 20 HMIs, including the top 10 beneficiaries of the funding product, as well as 10 beneficiaries that have implemented the investment project and achieved the best results in relation to the objectives of the programme.

I would recall that Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) and the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalisation of the Republic of Moldova signed a EUR 5 million loan agreement to support Moldovan micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in carrying out energy efficiency projects.

This loan is supplemented by a grant from the European Union of approximately EUR 1.6 million. The European Union’s support is to lower the interest rate on loans raised through BGK financing, as well as to provide technical assistance to complement loan applications and carry out energy audits. Technical assistance activities will be implemented in cooperation with the Polish Solidarity Fund, an important player in Polish development cooperation.
