The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Economic Development and Digitalisation Dumitru Alaiba, together with the Secretary of State, Veronica Arpintin, presented Vadim Codreanu as Director of the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship (ODA) in a joint meeting with the institution’s team.

The Minister sent a message to welcome at the meeting and gave a gratitude to Gheorghe Iudin for his commitment and contribution during the interim. He also highlighted Mr Vadim Codreanu’s professional qualities, recognising his expertise in his/her field and successfully passed him into his new management function. Dumitru Alaiba reconfirmed the Ministry’s support in providing an effective framework for the work of the Organisation, with a particular focus on promoting initiatives aimed at fostering the development of entrepreneurship. It also stressed the importance of constructive collaboration between the Moldovan government and the entrepreneurial community, based on principles of fairness and respect, in order to reinvigorate the economy and encourage innovation.

Dl. Codrea is not a known in the field and brings extensive experience in the private sector, in public administration with a focus on finance for entrepreneurs and the financial industry. It has a deep understanding of Moldova’s business environment and the challenges faced by entrepreneurs. ODA is central as a business partner for SMEs as a crucial element for the whole team and in particular for the new leadership“”, said Vice Prime Minister and Minister for Economic Development and Digitalisation Dumitru Alaiba.

Vadim Codreanu also thanked the trust and mentioned that it would come up with solutions to improve the area of entrepreneurial support.

I know and appreciate the successes of the institution, but also the challenges that entrepreneurs face. I will give me a lean to help develop all existing initiatives and initiate other programmes and products to support entrepreneurs. I urge colleagues to continue to show professionalism and dedication in the performance of their duties and to be proactive in bringing added value to our work ”, said Vadim Codreanu.

Vadim Codreanu is academy of Economic Studies, currently following a study programme at the Central European University of Vienna, Austria, with a specialisation in Global Executive Management, which is due to be completed in summer this year. Vadim Codreanu is also an expert in business management and development, with extensive experience in the public and private sector. In the last two years, he has served as Project Director at the Agency for the Development and Modernisation of Agriculture. In addition, it provided consultancy services as an expert in innovations for the Virl Technologies project funded by the USAID and Chemonics, as well as to Berlin Economics.

Throughout its career, he has been senior expert in projects funded by the European Union and other international organisations, including the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova. Its achievements include the development of the concept of a scientific park and innovation in agriculture in the Republic of Moldova.

The new Director of the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship (ODA) will start its work on 15 April 2024.
