17 April 2026, Chisinau — In the first quarter of 2026, the Entrepreneurship Development Organisation, in collaboration with Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalisationthe implementation of grant programmes to support entrepreneurs continued. 

During this period, the total amount paid by ODA to 135 companies receiving grants amounted to RON 23.74 million. 

At the same time, a further 81 investment projects were approved for funding, bringing the total value of the approved grants to RON 43 million, which will generate investments of more than RON 96.4 million in the national economy. Financial support is provided from the state budget and from the contributions of development partners.

Companies receiving non-repayable financial support currently provide more than 1 thousand jobs and 400 additional jobs are expected to be created during the implementation of investment projects, thereby contributing to the strengthening of the labour market and the sustainable development of the economy.

Of all approved projects, most of the investment goes to the manufacturing sector, which concentrates around 75 % of the total, followed by the agricultural sector with around 12 % and accommodation and food activities with around 6 %. The rest of the funding is distributed in areas such as information and communication technology, electricity and heat generation and supply, and health and social work.

The supported investment projects are mainly geared towards modernisation and energy efficiency, digital and green transition, increasing the competitiveness of companies as well as launching new businesses, reflecting the strategic directions of economic development of the Republic of Moldova.

In this context, during 2025, 810 entrepreneurial projects were accepted for funding through the non-repayable financial support instruments managed by ODA, and the total amount of approved grants amounted to RON 346.4 million. They generate investment of RON 653.3 million in the economy, with resources provided by combining funds from the state budget with the support of development partners. With these interventions, 10.374 jobs have been maintained and another 5.073 are planned to be created, demonstrating the direct and concrete impact of the grant on people and communities.
