The Ministry of Economy will provide support programmes for small and medium-sized enterprises worth RON 140 million through ODIMM.
The Ministry of the Economy, through the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM), will provide financial support of around RON 140 million business environment. Of these, RON 85 million will be allocated directly to entrepreneurs through 6 existing state programmesextended also by 5 new programmes in development. Other RON 15 million will be directed to increase the loan guarantee fund.
The results of the programmes managed by ODIMM, but also the new programmes launched, were presented at a press conference by Minister Sergiu Gaibu and ODIMM Acting Director Dumitru Pîntea.
‘Qdespite the crises we are facing and the austere budget, we have been able to find mechanisms to continue programmes with a high impact for business, but also to launch new programmes to support business. We have also started a process of reforming the ODSMEs in order to optimise the work of the institution and provide sustainable support to entrepreneurs. The RON 140 million allocated this year will make SMEs more competitive and give entrepreneurs in difficulty opportunities to relaunch their businesses’stated: Minister Gaibu.
Dumitru Pîntea, Acting Director of ODIMM reiterated the importance of the small and medium-sized enterprise sector and the commitment made by the institution to develop an effective partnership with the Moldovan business community. ‘Creating business start-up and development opportunities is our core mission. In the work of ODIMM we focus on respecting integrity principles, facilitating access to finance and simplifying application procedures to grant programmes’stated: Dumitru Pîntea.
Among the allowances provided for this year, we would mention:
● Economic Discharge Programme (PARE 1 + 1)RON 30 million
● Start for Young People Programme (RON 20 million)
● Growth and Internationalisation Programme (RON 15 million)
● The Greening of the HLF programme (RON 15 million)
● The HLF Guarantee Fund (RON 15 million)
● HMM Digitalisation Tool (RON 10 million)
● Women in Business Programme (RON 5 million)

Over the past two months, ODIMM has financed 297 investment projects in total amount of RON 61 million.
