The organisation for the development of the sector of Small and Medium Enterprises (ODIMM) will open the 10th Business Incubator in May 2 017 in May 2017. The Incubator will have the same format as the other 9 Business Incubators, opened in the last 8 years in the Soroca, Ștefan Vodă, Leova, Rezina, S blood, Dubăsari, Cede-longa, Cimișlia and Nisporeni.

The institution will offer a desire to set up a space business at reasonable prices, training and entrepreneurial support over 3 years.

Iulia Iabanji, Director General ODIMM noted at an information session in Cahul that the incubator will provide young entrepreneurs with more advantages and remove some of the barriers they usually face at the business initiation stage.

According to Iabanji Iulia, incubators are already a successful history for the SME sector. They have demonstrated their vitality and opportunity over the 8 years. The first Business Incubator was opened in Soroca in December 2009.

‘Beyond the logistical support needed to start the activity, the reduced price at the manufacturing premises and offices, the Business Incubator provides a favourable environment for development, by providing information and entrepreneurial advice, transfer of best practices, support for the development of partnerships, mentioned Iulia Iabanji.

Opening business incubators is one of the priorities of the RM Government to create entrepreneurial support infrastructure to meet the needs of the business environment, especially in rural areas. The Cahulva Business Incubator is open in collaboration with local public authorities, based on the Policy Matrix for the Sectoral Support Programme, Economic Simulation in Rural Areas”, funded by the European Union. A further opening of a Business Incubator in Călărași is expected to be opened in 2017.

So far, 103 new businesses have been created in the 9 Business Incubators with support for SMEs, which have helped open 408 jobs. Since their creation, incubators have activated 289 residents. Two new Business Incubators will be opened in 2017 at Cahle and Călărași.
