The Cimișlia district will host a Multifunctional Industrial Platform
ODIMM signed today the 4th Collaboration Memorandum Agreement on the creation and development of the Multifunctional Industrial Platform (MIP) in the district of Cimișlia. Thus, the ODIMM, the District Council and the City of Cimișlia have set out to develop the region’s economy by supporting companies with an increased focus on innovation, technology transfer and sustainable development, attracting investment and promoting the region as development poles.
Iulia Costin, Director-General of ODIMM, stressed the importance of this platform for the business environment in the region.
“I am sure that this project will have a major impact on the development of the district economy. It is important that we continue to develop business infrastructure in the regions to help businesses grow at home. Being competitive and having the necessary facilities, we can attract important investors to the region”.
The multifunctional industrial platform in Cimișlia will be located outside the city, being the public property of the state. It has a strategic location, close to the Free Economic Zone, with a connection to the R3 national road and close to the hotspot with Ukraine. The land identified for the creation of the MIP has an area of 10 ha. Tenders for design and initiation of infrastructure works, including gasification networks, electricity and water, will be launched in the near time.
The pilot programme for the creation of Multifunctional Industrial Platforms is implemented by ODIMM in coordination with the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure. They are to be created in 18 districts throughout the Republic of Moldova with a lower level of industrialisation.
