Stefan Voda, Best Incubator of the Year 2021
Best Business Incubator (AI) 2021 the one in the district has been designated Stefan Voda. The institution performed best in this year’s work and the incubation rate of companies is around 100 %. Today, at a meeting, the totals of the work of the 11 incubators for this year, new goals and future plans are being discussed. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM), the Moldovan Network of Incubators (RIAM) and Business Incubator Administrators.
Competition “Business incubator of the year” it is now in its 7th edition, initiated by Organisation for the Development of the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Sector and Network of Business Incubators in the Republic of Moldova. The competition aims to promote the successes and good practices of Business Incubators, stimulate their activity and directly create new opportunities for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in the regions.
According to the manager of the Incubator of Ștefan Vodă, Adelina Barbăneagrăthe institution has 25 businesses, of which 11 are start-ups. 14 businesses are run by young people and 7 by women. 48 jobs were created in companies incubated in AI Stefan Vodă. The turnover of the 25 incubated companies is over RON 19 million.
“Over the course of this year, AI Ștefan Vodă offered around 450 consultations to entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs. For developing entrepreneurial skills, promoting and accelerating business development among young people, 1 project aimed at organising mentoring and coaching events, developing a co-working space for young entrepreneurs and supporting 10 young people with grants to develop a business idea was accessed. At the same time, 41 training and information sessions were organised”he said Adelina Barbăneagră.
At the same time, manager of the Călărași Incubator Victor Ambroci he was given a Diploma for maintaining outstanding results.
In this context, interim Director ODIMM Dumitru Pîntea reaffirmed the state’s commitment to supporting and strengthening business incubators as promoters of economic development in the regions.
“Business incubators have an important role to play in building and strengthening the capacities of SMUs in rural areas. We will continue to support these entities in creating and developing a practical and lucrative SME network in the territory”noted Dumitru Pîntea.
Currently in the eleven Business Incubatorsmembers of the RIAMit operates around 263 by resident companies, of which 157 they are start-ups, 143 are managed by young people, and 122 companies are run by women. Overall created 830 jobs, of which 372 women’s and 330 for young people.
The Business Incubators Network in Moldova was established in 2013 by ODIMM with the support of the European Union. The members of RIAM are Business Incubators: Ștefan-Vodă, Dubăsari, Leova, Ceadâr-Lunga, Rezina, Nisporeni, Sângerei, Soroca, Cimișlia, Cahul and Călărași.
