Projects financed by the World Bank beneficial for the IMMO
The interim Director-General of ODIMM, Petru Gurgurov thanked the mission for the support provided by the World Bank and appreciated the useful recommendations of the experts in the process of strengthening the Organisation. Moreover, the support and expertisation of the World Bank facilitated the development of ODIMM services aimed at guaranteeing credit to SMEs, growing and export-oriented companies and facilitating access to information for entrepreneurs. 

The World Bank Country Manager Mario Guadamillas congratulated the IMMO for the progress made over the last years, in particular in the areas of loan guarantees, capacity building and the development of services to companies with export-oriented and growth potential. It also showed its openness to support the Organisation in the implementation of strategic plans for the development of the SME sector in the Republic of Moldova.
Tarik Sahovic, team leader and senior specialist in private sector development at the World Bank highlighted that the successes of the ODIMM and the implementation of expert recommendations lay the groundwork for a further phase of work in carrying out future projects.
The World Bank’s mission is located in Chișinău from 4 to 8 June, 2 018 in a monitoring and support visit on the implementation of the project Improvement of Competitiveness in the Republic of Moldova (PAC II). The objective of the development of CAP II is to contribute to increasing the competitiveness of companies in the Republic of Moldova, in particular small and medium-sized enterprises, by forging links with the market, facilitating access to medium- and long-term finance and improving the business environment.
