The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Moldova and the Organisation for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Sector Development (ODIMM), in partnership with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), launched a study on 11 February on the analysis of business support infrastructure in the Republic of Moldova.
The study is part of the activities foreseen in the “Multi-annual Policy Support Project for SMEs in the Republic of Moldova” and aims at analysing business support services in the Republic of Moldova. Key elements in the preparation of the study given are the interactions and questionnaires of representatives of business support institutions/organisations as well as enterprises themselves in order to define key directions for the development of business infrastructure.[1].
It is worth mentioning that business support infrastructure is an important element in the development of the business environment and the development of this sector will make a crucial contribution to the growth of the Moldovan economy.
Thus, facilitating the development of business infrastructure and increasing the competitiveness of the SME sector are priority directions established by the Government of the Republic of Moldova in the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Sector Development Strategy for 2012-2020.
