One thousand families in the Republic of Moldova have made a step towards a safer future through the “First Casă Plus” programme
1000 households have new homes, via the “First Home Plus” government programme. Programme beneficiaries averaged 35 years, while procured dwellings had prices ranging from 400 thousand to lei 2.5 million.
In only three months since its launch, the total value of loans accessed through the programme reached lei 1.2 billion, while the State, through the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship, guaranteed loans amounting to lei 720 million.
The programme attracted more urban areas, where 90 % of beneficiaries chose housing. 10 % opted for rural areas, thus supporting their development. In addition, 90 % of dwellings are flats and 10 % houses.
“Own mobility offers a sense of security and belonging, and affordable rates allow families to direct the resources saved to education, health or other essential needs, contributing to a better quality of life. Also, through the state guarantees provided by the Moldovan government, the funding process has become more accessible and our citizens can build a stable future at home,” said Vadim Codreanu, Director ODA.
Officially launched in August 2024, the “First Casă Plus” is part of an extensive government initiative aimed at facilitating access to housing finance. The programme is a cornerstone for the development of the sustainable real estate market and for strengthening a stability and progress society.
