ODSMEs invite migrant workers and their relatives to apply to the “PARE 1 + 1” programme

The SME Sector Development Organisation announces the start of the third call for funding under the “PARE 1 + 1” programme, to which all migrant workers or their first degree relatives are invited. intends to launch or develop an existing business in the Republic of Moldova.

Registration can be done online athttp://pare.odimm.md either directly at the ODIMM headquarters.

The “PARE 1 + 1” programme offers:

  • — advice and information on business development opportunities, projects in the country, sources of financing for an investment project, legislative aspects of entrepreneurial activity, etc.
  • — entrepreneurial courses on the following topics:business registration, management, marketing, accounting, business planning, etc.
  • grant of up to RON 200.
  • — monitoring and advice.

The only requirements for enrolment in the Programme are:

  • — Be a citizen of the Republic of Moldova;
  • — Be a migrant worker or a first-degree relative;
  • — Plan to start a business or develop an existing one;
  • — Have financial resources from remittances and confirm their origin (by contract of employment; certificate of confirmation of salary/income; extract from bank accounts; copies of bank transfer orders, customs declarations).

Documents proving the origin of the remittances:

  • employment contract;
  • — certificate of confirmation of salary/income;
  • extract from bank accounts;
  • copies of bank transfer orders,
  • customs declarations.

Migrant workers have now invested the support ‘PARE 1 + 1’ in various fields of activity: agriculture (greenhouses, cold stores, livestock farms), industry (bakery, building materials, furniture, lighters), services, tourism, construction. Remittances declared under the Programme come mainly from migrant workers from Italy, Russia, the USA, Portugal, Spain and Ireland.
