ODIMM develop support mechanisms on Digital transformation of HMM they will minimise the effects of the current pandemic crisis and become the main lifeline in future crisis situations. This was the key message presented by our institution at the tenth edition of the most important forum dedicated to the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry. Moldova ICT Summit.

In this context, by supporting the digitalisation of the HMM, ODIMM aims to stimulate the use of new digital technologies throughout the business management process, to train entrepreneurs in the use of information technologies, including the deployment of e-commerce platforms, to provide unrestricted access to free entrepreneurship education in the digital environment and to encourage the introduction of the most innovative digital solutions to make work processes more efficient.

The first step, in this regard, was taken by launching and implementing Instrument supporting action on the digitalisation of the HLEIby means of which more than 800 entrepreneurs assessed their level of business digitalisation, and over 500 attended the training sessions, of which 280 companies have been financially supported by Grants and Business Vouchere.

In the future, to ensure continued access to financial and educational resources necessary for the deployment of digital technologies, ODIMM developed Digital Transformation Programme for SMEsto be launched by the end of 2021.

An ambitious initiative to be launched in the near future is The Virtual Entrepreneurs’ Academy, developed with the support of the European Union.The Academy is an e-Learning online platform for entrepreneurs to provide free access to online training modules, webinars and learning resources on business planning, market analysis, team management, financial management, online sales and marketing, etc.

Agenda ODIMM it also foresees the launch by the end of 2021 of National Support Programme for Re-Technologyit will propose to provide support for the technical modernisation/re-equipping of SMEs in order to make production processes more efficient and competitive on the market. The technological modernisation of businesses can only be achieved through the integrated and concomitant use of digital tools.

For the next period, ODIMM is also planning the creation, for the first time for Moldova, of a Digital Innovation Hub in Moldova to enhance the competitiveness of local SMEs. This hub, created with EU support, will enable access to innovation and a continuous flow of knowledge between the private sector and researchers, academia, public authorities, corporations, investors and other key players, so as to enable the generation of modern business development solutions using digital technologies.
