Circa 1000 people from the whole territory of the Republic of Moldova, willing to start in the business world, participate online in the free entrepreneurial education courses organised by the ODIMM through the programmes “Start for YOUTH” and “Women in Business”.

ODIMM Director-General Iulia Costin assured participants that they would have advisory support to finalise their business plans.

“Entrepreneurial knowledge is very important to lay the foundations for a successful business. We welcome the increased interest of young people and women across the country in entrepreneurship. I am sure that these trainings will be a real support and give you real chances to start and develop your own businesses”.

Of the total number of participants in training, 624 are young people who will test their creativity and entrepreneurial skills in the Phase I of the Youth Start Programme – Identifying business ideas – Hackathon. The young people were assigned to the 6 groups and time to 2 days they will be guided by a team of mentors in developing team ideas, embracing the basic principles of business thinking and building a successful start-up. Hackathons will be followed by entrepreneurial training for young people who want to start their own business.

Other 335 womentime to 6 daysthey will be taught online with entrepreneurial leadership rules. The trainings will help entrepreneurial women to shape their business ideas, which they will then turn into business plans to compete for the finance component.

The training will cover the following topics:

Company registration and human capital management;

Business planning;

Financial management of the business;

Business finance;

Marketing and sales (including on-line marketing);

Company accounts and types of reports.

In 2020, 930 people were trained through the two Business Support Programmes, including 645 young people and 295 women.
