The Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Development Organisation (ODSME) together with Simpals and the Startup Moldova Foundation will develop support mechanisms to increase the potential of small and medium-sized enterprises. The representatives of the three entities signed the Partnership Agreement with the aim of helping Moldovan entrepreneurs to grow in a digital environment, increase their competitiveness in domestic and foreign markets, using information technologies.

‘By joining efforts, we will be able to change the perception of SME entrepreneurs of the importance of business digitalisation and the deployment of information technologies. We aim to develop new growth models, using coaching and individual mentoring to communicate with entrepreneurs, with a focus on companies operating in the country’s regions“, said: Iulia Costin, Director General of ODIMM.

Dmitri Voloșin, manager of Simpals he showed his full openness to support entrepreneurship in the Republic of Moldova in the field of digitalisation.

“We want to develop small businesses, train regional entrepreneurs, create digital platforms to make it easier for businesses to go online. SMEs are the foundation of the country and need to be supported to achieve business performance. If other big players join the process, one day we will be able to make a small ‘Silicon Valley’ from Moldova, where business development will be the number one priority for the state. I believe that together with ODIMM we will be able to make it more effective’, stressed Dmitri Voloșin, founder of Simpals.

Administrator of Startup Moldova Foundation, Sergei Smigaliov stressed that partnership with ODSMEs is a priority in both the short and long term.

“We will make every effort for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in Moldova, both in terms of the development of new IT companies and businesses and in terms of the use of modern digital technologies by SMEs, to help them reach a new level of development, offering them prospects for their further growth”.
