Today, 4 July 2017, the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM) signed procurement contracts with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova and the Obgian Association ‘Association for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship’ for the provision of entrepreneurial training services to business women in the Republic of Moldova. The courses will be organised as part of the Business Academy for Women (Baw) project. The more than 300 female entrepreneurs who were selected for the training component of the Baw Project were divided geographically into 6 lots, including UTA Gagauzia and the eastern districts of the Republic of Moldova. Afterwards, a support organisation is contracted to carry out the training courses in the Transnistrian region.
Support organisations, selected following a public procurement carried out by ODIMM, will help promote the development of entrepreneurship among women in the Republic of Moldova. The training will be modular and cover subjects in the areas of contemporary marketing, management and international economic relations. The duration of a training course shall be 6 days of 8 academic hours per day.

The Business Academy for Women project aims to promote women’s economic and social skills, including those in rural regions, by reducing gender inequality and increasing their access to financial resources, services, innovative technologies and development opportunities. Around 300 female entrepreneurs will be trained in how to make their business model more efficient and export their companies. At the end of the training, 10 women entrepreneurs will be selected to receive grants of EUR 6 thousand each for the implementation of the projects.
