ODIMM launches second call for projects under Women in Business Programme
The Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM) announces the launch of the second call for projects under Component II of the Women in Business (PFA) Pilot Programme.Applications for the Grant Competition can be submitted from today, 4 May, until 5 June by filling in the form
Women who manage a business for up to 2 years can participate in the Grant Component. The maximum grant amount will constitute RON 165 thousand, of which RON 110 thousand is for investment in the purchase of equipment and the remaining RON 55 thousand for business development services: research, consultancy and promotion.
‘Priority under the Programme shall be given to business: innovative and exportable, creative industry, agro-tourism and crafts, manufacturing, information technology and communication, non-agricultural in rural areas, not covered by the eligibility criteria for support from the Agency for Intervention and Payments for Agriculture, companies offering services/products to large companies ", announced Petru Gurgurov, acting Director-General ODIMM, in a press briefing.
We would point out that, under the first call, 100 investment projects were approved for non-repayable financing of RON 14 million, which will stimulate investments of RON 24 million in the national economy.
The pilot programme “Women in Business” was launched in autumn 2016 and will be implemented over 3 years. RON 51.5 million will be allocated from the state budget. This government initiative aims to promote economic and social ability in rural areas by reducing gender inequality, increasing and developing business, changing the perception of innovation, increasing access to modern resources, services and technologies.
