ODIMM compensates domestic companies for their participation in fairs and exhibitions
The Organisation for the Development of the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Sector (ODSME) facilitates the promotion of local businesses through exhibitions and fairs. Thus, all economic operators from the Republic of Moldova, participating in fairs and exhibitions in physical or virtual format, have the possibility to reimburse their participation costs via “Programme for subsidising the participation of economic operators in fairs and exhibitions”managed by ODIMM. The amount of the subsidy may range from RON 2 thousand to RON 5 thousand depending on the format of the exhibitions and fairs. At the same time, the submission of the set of documents required for the defrayal of expenses can only be done online.
ODIMM organised today, Workshop “Benefits of participation in fairs and exhibitions”to which representatives of the institutions involved in the organisation and conduct of fairs and exhibitions in the Republic of Moldova were invited: Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), International Exhibition Centre ‘Moldexpo’ and ‘PR COMPANY PROJECT’.
At the beginning of the event, Dumitru Pîntea, ODIMM Acting Director stressed the importance of fairs and exhibitions in promoting the products and services of domestic companies.
“Fairs and exhibitions are an integral part of marketing tools and the participation of small and medium-sized enterprises is important to analyse competition and find new development opportunities. ODIMM supports the participation of economic operators in fairs and exhibitions by partially reimbursing costs. Thus, under the Programme for subsidising the participation of economic operators in fairs and exhibitions, companies participating in exhibitions in physical (offline) format can reimburse up to RON 1 thousand from the cost of the registration fee and half (50 %) from the cost of renting the exhibition space, but not more than RON 4 thousand. In the case of virtual (online) exhibitions, companies may receive full reimbursement of the cost of the registration fee, but no more than RON 2’.
The representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry reiterated that fairs and exhibitions are an open scene to promote companies.
“One of the advantages of fairs and exhibitions is that consumers can meet producers, who in a short time, just a few days, promote their products to the highest level. Practice has shown that both the fair and the exhibition are the only place offering the most favourable conditions for communicating and engaging in discussions and negotiations with a large number of specialists at short notice. The CCI of the Republic of Moldova organises around 30 regional exhibitions per year, a national exhibition – ‘Made in Moldova’ and, of course, exhibitions abroad, with the generic ‘Republic of Moldova Present’, and by organising these events we aim to support local entrepreneurs, offer participants the opportunity to promote national goods and services, initiate new collaborative relationships and study the internal market more thoroughly’. stated Mihai Bîlba, Vice-President of the CCI of the Republic of Moldova.
Carolina Chiper, CEO of “MOLDEXPO” S.A. referred to the overall objectives of the exhibitions.
“The overall objectives of the exhibitions and the tools at the disposal of the exhibitions: facilitating contacts between producers and buyers; effective communication platform; promoting new products on the internal and external markets; building, sustaining and enhancing the positive image of companies; demonstration of novelties in the field; studying the market, confronting supply and demand; contributing to market development and the emergence of new products and services in the field; attracting foreign investment and developing partnership relations; penetration of new markets; establishing economic relations with new customers; increasing the level of sales and developing competition between domestic producers.’
“The Proremont Expo is aimed at attracting all companies active in real estate and housing development to a single platform. The objective of Proremont Expo from one year to the next is to persevere, implement all modern communication and promotion tools and technologies. This approach allows not only to multiply performance, but also to achieve results adjusted to Moldova’s realities and challenges in recent years”stated Sergiu Chirco, Fondator SRL “PR COMPANY PROJECT”.
The programme for subsidising the participation of economic operators in fairs and exhibitions, managed by ODIMM, aims to support and promote the small and medium-sized enterprise sector by partially reimbursing the eligible costs of economic operators’ participation in exhibitions/fairs at national and regional level. This entrepreneurial support mechanism aims to support producers of goods and services in promoting domestic and international projects, technologies, know-how, goods and services on the internal and external market, and to create the right conditions for establishing domestic and international business contacts, partnership and collaboration. The Programme may apply to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the Republic of Moldova, which are not in insolvency proceedings and do not have debts to the state budget.
