The Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM) and the Romanian Commercial Bank Chișinău S.A. signed a new collaboration contract to support Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME). ODIMM has been cooperating with Banca Comercială Română Chișinău S.A. since 2012, being the 7th licensed bank to sign the aforementioned contract, which will allow it to benefit from a simplified procedure for guaranteeing and enforcing the financial guarantee.

Respectively, SMEs will obtain a financial guarantee at a reduced annual fee of up to 0.5 % and will be exempted from the fee for releasing the financial guarantee.

Currently, ODSMEs offer five guarantee products to support SMEs:

1. For youth-led businesses the financial guarantee shall be issued for a period of 60 months to guarantee the credit up to RON 500 thousand, but not more than 50 % of the value of the credit;

2. For women-run businesses the financial guarantee shall be issued for a period of 60 months to guarantee the credit up to RON 700 thousand, but not more than 70 %;

3. For newly registered enterprises the financial guarantee shall be issued for a period of 36 months to guarantee the credit up to RON 700 thousand, but not more than 70 % of the value of the credit;

4. For active enterprises the financial guarantee shall be issued for a period of 60 months to guarantee the credit up to RON 3 million, but not more than 50 % of the credit value;

5. For exporting companies the financial guarantee is issued for a period of 60 months to guarantee the loan up to RON 5 million, but no more than 50 % of the loan amount.

The Credit Guarantee Fund (CRF) is the first and only loan guarantee fund created and capitalised from state budget resources, with the support of the European Union, managed by ODIMM, which aims to support SMEs in accessing financial resources. The financial guarantee issued by ODIMM can be used by SMEs to cover the pledged need for loans requested from commercial banks.

To date, ODIMM has issued financial guarantees for 286 companies in the amount of RON 80 million, which have made it easier to obtain bank loans in the amount of RON 238 million, helping to implement investment projects in the amount of RON 361 million, creating more than 740 new jobs and keeping more than 1300 people in employment.
