ODA supports investments in green business
“The Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship encourages and supports businesses in the Republic of Moldova to adapt to the global demands and trends of the green economy.In this context, ODA intervenes both through programmes specifically dedicated to the greening of business and through evaluation procedures aimed at compliance with environmental legislation, said ODA Director Dumitru Pîntea at the Round Table “Green Economy – Made in Moldova: Towards a Green Transition”, 7th Edition.
‘The SME greening programme provides non-repayable financing of up to RON 500 for investments in water protection, air and industrial production waste management. We are also developing the skills of domestic entrepreneurs to green their businesses, "said Dumitru Pîntea.
The director of the institution also referred to another support instrument in the ODA portfolio that supports private investment in modernisation and energy efficiency – the Repowering and Energy Efficiency Programme – through which grants of up to RON 2 million can be accessed for the purchase of modern, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly machinery.
The roundtable was organised by the Ministry of Environment under the European Union for the Environment Green Economy Programme – EU4Environment Green Economy, in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and АО EcoContact.
