9 economic operators will receive grants up to RON 2 million from the State for capacity building for promotion of products and services on external markets. The non-repayable financial support will be accessed via Programme to increase the competitiveness of SMEs and their internationalisationmanaged by ODA.

Of the total number of companies selected by the Programme Steering Committee6 operates in agri-food manufacture of biscuits and locust beans, processing and preserving of fruit and vegetables, cocoa products, chocolate and sugar confectionery, ice-cream from goat’s milk, dairy products and cheese. A further 3 businesses are active in industry manufacture of furniture, apparel and PVC/aluminium articles. Most companies aim to expand their market both in Romania and in other EU countries, such as: Germany, Italy, Poland, France, Bulgaria, Portugal and Ireland. At the same time, some companies are interested in business internationalisation and UK and US market.

Under the financial support in the form of a Grant, the total value of the investments following the implementation of the investment projects will constitute approx. RON 31 millionof which the amount of the grant is around RON 14 million.

Business Vouchere will also be offered for 11 companies up to 100 thousandI for accessing business development services (creation of brandbook and visibility elements, CEO services and implementation of ISO standards, etc.).

In 2022, the Programme approved grants for 55 companies with allocation from the state budget of RON 44 million. The total value of the investments is around 95 million .
