Organised annually since 2014, the event brought together local and international experts in Arena Chișinău who shared innovative ideas and breakthrough technological solutions for various sectors, including trade, production, agriculture and system integration.

In his speech, the Director ODA, Vadim Codreanu, spoke about the funding programmes provided by the State to local companies. It also presented the results achieved by ODA through the implementation of several programmes and their prospects.

At the heart of the ODA mission is supporting the creation and development of small and medium-sized enterprises. Promoting innovation and facilitating access to finance are key pillars in this endeavour. With our involvement in this initiative, we reaffirm our determination to remain in line with the latest and efficient solutions in new technologies and trends in digitalisation. It is a determined step towards a future where entrepreneurship becomes the main driver of progress and that access to financial resources is simplified for all those involved in business creation and development”, said Vadim Codreanu.

Please note that ODA is committed to programmes and initiatives that support modernisation and innovation in enterprises and support the HEIs through grants for energy efficiency and repowering.

An important programme in this respect is Repowering and energy efficiency programme. Grants from this programme are essential for companies wishing to modernise their infrastructure and adopt green technologies. In 2023 to date, 154 companies have benefited from grants totalling lei 110.6 million. These projects include photovoltaic stations, heat recovery ventilation systems and geothermal heat pumps, thus helping to reduce energy consumption and increase energy efficiency.

Another relevant example is Digital transformation programme for small and medium-sized enterprisesfunded by the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the European Union. This programme has a significant impact in modernising and improving operational efficiency for several companies. The main aim of the programme is to develop entrepreneurs’ skills in planning and implementing business practices that are conducive to digital transformation. To date, grants totalling almost 38 million lei to 150 enterprises have been awarded under this programme.

At the same time, Support Programme for Digital Innovation and Technology Start-upmanaged by ODA, provides financial support and advice to companies seeking to implement innovative ideas in various areas. Within this project, 34 companies are already implementing innovative ideas, with a total financial support of approximately lei 16 million.

The Government has also recently extended the eligibility criteria for investment projects included in the Government programme to support entrepreneurs 373. The extension included the integration of expenditure related to the procurement of digital technologies and software needed for activities related to the implementation of the investment project financed under the Programme.

The 373 programme offers the possibility for entrepreneurs to access credits at advantageous rates and to cover the costs for the remuneration of professionals in the development of digital technologies. It also provides a financial guarantee of up to 80 % of the amount of the loan.

So far, under the programme 373, almost 400 beneficiaries have taken out loans with an investment value totalling lei 1.5 billion.

The event offered participants networking opportunities, facilitating collaboration and exchange of ideas among professionals from various industries.
