ODA and AIM strengthen their partnership to support the development of SMEs in the Republic of Moldova
March 30, 2026, Chișinău – The Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) and the Alliance of Small and Medium Enterprises of Moldova (AIM) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding establishing the framework for institutional cooperation aimed at supporting the development of the small and medium-sized enterprise sector in the Republic of Moldova.
The document reflects the joint commitment of the parties to contribute to strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem by improving the exchange of relevant information, developing joint initiatives, and supporting an effective public–private dialogue.
At the same time, the cooperation aims to facilitate entrepreneurs’ access to resources, funding opportunities, and development programs, as well as to support adaptation processes to economic transformations and the European integration path.
Vadim Codreanu, Director of ODA, stated that this agreement reflects a results-oriented approach and genuine collaboration with the business environment:
“For us, this partnership means a closer alignment with the real needs of entrepreneurs. Through collaboration with the associative environment, we can better understand the challenges in the field and adapt support instruments so that they are truly useful and relevant for SME development.”
In turn, Liliana Busuioc, Executive Director of AIM, emphasized the importance of coherent and active representation of the entrepreneurial environment in the decision-making process, highlighting the role of partnerships in bringing public institutions closer to business realities:
“For the SME community, it is essential that the voice of entrepreneurs is heard and genuinely integrated into public policies. This agreement offers us the opportunity to contribute more actively to shaping solutions, to bring forward the challenges faced by enterprises, and to support initiatives that directly respond to their needs.”
The Memorandum establishes cooperation directions that include the exchange of data and best practices regarding the SME sector, the development of relevant analyses and studies, the promotion of programs dedicated to entrepreneurs, as well as the organization of joint activities aimed at developing entrepreneurial capacities and increasing access to development opportunities.
This Memorandum is concluded for a period of three years, with the possibility of extension, and expresses the intention of the parties to cooperate in areas of common interest without generating direct financial obligations.
