Young people from the Ungheni district who want to start a business visiting successful economic operators
Saturday, November 09th, 2013, a group of 17 young people benefiting from training courses organised under the National Youth Economic Ability Programme; they paid a study visit to a string of businessmen in the Ungheni district.
The programme of the visit included the travel to 5 economic operators with different types of activity: SRL “A.A.A.AutoPriority” (Automotive School), SRL “DigitalEnter” (marketing of computing technique, accessories and provision of repair services), GȚ “Glodeanu Anatol” (growing vegetables in greenhouses), GȚ “Rabacu Nicolae” (breeding rabbits) and SRL “Vladcomlux” (tourism services).
Young people had the opportunity to discuss with entrepreneurs topics related to business development, access to credit and grants, marketing methods used, development strategy and difficulties related to the legislative framework, competition and business planning.
To conclude and discuss the lessons learned during the visits, the young people met on 11 November, currently on the premises of the Ungheni Rayon Council.

Future entrepreneurs were enthusiastic about this practice, noting that it was welcome. They understood that starting a successful business requires a clear vision of the chosen field and a thorough planning of their activities and resources, especially financial ones. In addition, they learned that the customer and meeting his needs were the key to success, so they had to choose their marketing strategy correctly.
A particular interest has created the topic of financing and problems arising from accessing bank loans. In this way, young people and teachers proposed organising seminars and workshops in which young people would learn how to negotiate and access correctly a bank loan and other ways of financing their business.
Beyond the practical entrepreneurial lessons provided, the study visit helped to strengthen the group of young people. They set up the local organisation JCI Ungheni (Junior Chamber International) in Ungheni in the near future.
The study visit was organised by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ungheni Branch and the Raional Council, Economics and Reforms Section.
The event is part of the series of actions organised during November during the European SME Week from 25 to 30 November, current. The events aim to inform on measures to support SMEs, promote entrepreneurship, recognise the contribution of entrepreneurs to improving wealth, creating jobs, improving competitiveness.
