The Regional Economic Forum – Economic Development through Sustainable Partnerships took place in Ungheni
On 3 July this year, ODIMM participated in the fifth edition of the Ungheni Regional Economic Forum, ‘Economic development through sustainable partnerships’.
The Forum was attended by representatives of central, regional and local public administration, embassies, the private associative sector, the business environment in Romania, Belarus, Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, Estonia.
The objectives of the Forum are to promote and sustain economic competitiveness by boosting the development of strong regional partnerships, showcasing successful practices and facilitating dialogue between all actors involved in creating a competitive and attractive economic environment with sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
The agenda of the Forum included presentations and discussions on new opportunities for business development, enhanced partnerships and attracting investment to the region in the context of the signature of the Association Agreement of the Republic of Moldova with the European Union, presentations by economic operators and business to business activities.
Ms Ludmila Stihi, representative of the SME, mentioned in her speech the support programmes to which entrepreneurs can apply to develop their business. It also stressed how important it is for businesses to grow by bringing something new, as the innovation component will provide a key competitive advantage to businesses.
At the Forum, entrepreneurs had the opportunity to learn about business support programmes at the ODIMM stand.
