ODIMM has signed a new Collaboration Agreement in the field of credit guarantees
In today’s economy, although SMEs play an essential role, they are faced with the problem of access to finance, in particular bank loans. Thus, according to the results of studies in this field, SMEs received around 30 % of all loans granted by the banking sector.
In order to improve access to credit sources, ODIMM manages the State Credit Guarantee Fund.
Increase in the number of beneficiaries of financial sources borrowed on 24 September ODIMM and BC “ProCredit Bank” S.A. signed the Loan Guarantee Partnership Agreement.
At the moment, ODIMM is collaborating with 7 commercial banks in the field of guaranteeing credit to small businesses, which do not have sufficient pledge but wish to initiate/develop viable projects.
ODSME partners are: BC “Moldova-Agroindbank” SA; BC “FinComBank” SA; BC “Victoriabank” SA; Banca Comercială Romana Chișinău SA; BC “Unibank” SA; BC “ProCredit Bank” SA and “Savings Bank” SA.
Financial guarantees on loans are issued under the FGC for:
• the guarantee represents up to 50 % of the size of the loan, but no more than RON 700 thousand, over a period of up to 5 years.Active enterprises the guarantee shall constitute a maximum of 70 % of the amount of the credit, but no more than BGN 300 for a period of up to 3 years. •
Start-ups the guarantee represents up to 50 % of the size of the loan, but no more than RON 200 thousand. •
Migrant workers (beneficiaries of the ‘PARE 1 + 1’ pilot programme) the guarantee represents up to 50 % of the size of the loan, but no more than RON 150 thousand. •
Young entrepreneurs (PNAET beneficiaries)
The financial guarantee is a unique product with an important multiplier effect. Thus, each leu granted in 2012 in the form of a guarantee attracts investments in the economy amounting to RON 6.
