New business supported by state and development partner grants
54 entrepreneurs, approved by ODA for funding, will receive grants to invest in business development, modernisation, digitalisation or greening. The financial support varies between RON 200 thousand and RON 600 thousand through government instruments: The SME Digital Transformation Programme, the Youth Start Programme, the Programme for attracting remittances to the economy “PARE 1 + 2”, the Programme for the greening of SMEs and the Programme for increasing export competitiveness and internationalisation of HEIs. The total amount of grants is approximately RON 13 millionresources granted from the state budget or allocated by the European Union and the World Bank.
Of the total number of new beneficiaries, 28 operates in the countryside, and 26 it operates in an urban environment. Of these, 33 businesses are run by young people, and 19 women.
Company managers were familiarised by the institution’s representatives with the contractual provisions and the way in which the ODA-Beneficiary interacts. Subsequently, the economic operators will sign the collaboration contracts for accessing the non-repayable financial support through the programmes to which the investment projects have been submitted.
Dumitru Pînteathe Director of ODA informed entrepreneurs about the latest government and European initiatives to support access to finance, urging them to apply other business support instruments to become sustainable in the market.
The investments to be made will be directed towards the purchase of equipment and machinery, fuel station, agricultural drone, precision navigation system for tractors, software for digitalising the work process, web preparation/updating services, wastewater treatment plants, feed granulator, recycling machines certification services, team preparation consultancy for export and sales, etc.
Among the entrepreneurs taking part in the orientation and information session was Mihai Nedelciuc from the Drochia district, which owns more than 1 300 hectares of agricultural land. The businessman will access a grant through the Digital Transformation Programme for the Digitalisation of Business. “Our investment project includes the purchase of digital equipment and solutions to improve efficiency and optimise operations in the company, the installation of GPS monitoring equipment, the digitalisation of the fuel station and the use of a Cropwise platform that is beneficial for farmers in the correct application of plant protection products”, he mentioned the entrepreneur.
Another business that will access grants through the Start for Trainer Programme is owned by Ecaterina Delimarschi. The young woman has recently opened a private kindergarten with a personalised regime for the children, and the grant money will be used to equip her kitchen and a new group with technical, equipment and furniture.
And Ecaterina Rudico Chisinau has set itself the goal of greening its business. “Through the Greening Programme, I will receive non-repayable financial support for the purchase of a lines to produce feed for domestic animals from biological remnants obtained in cereal processing. This eco-innovative product is new to the company and will reduce environmental risks, having a positive impact on resource consumption.”
