Opening Nisporeni Business Incubator

On 19 November 2014 at 12: 00 a.m. Nisporeni, str. Chisinau, No 6, will see the official opening of the Nisporeni Business Incubator.

The opening ceremony will be attended by Mr Andrian CANDU, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and H.E. Mr Pirkka TAPIOLA, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova.

Representatives of central and local public authorities, the business community, representatives of the European Union in the Republic of Moldova, international projects and the media are also invited.

Business incubator in Nisporeni it is an institution that gives entrepreneurs with viable ideas and business plans the chance to realise them in a suitable environment. Hosted companies will benefit from cheap production facilities or offices, entrepreneurial advice and training, advisory support when purchasing equipment, reduced management costs, other facilities.

At the initial stage, the Nisporeni Business Incubator it will host 18 companies from different areas of the economy, mostly in the field of services. The capacity of the incubator is around 25-30 companies. As a result, at least 62 new jobs are expected to be created, including 14 for women.

The Government of the Republic of Moldova recognises and appreciates the importance of the SME sector as a basis for the development of the national economy. The experience of the European Union shows that the SME sector can make a substantial contribution to achieving GDP, creating new jobs and boosting exports.

The Nisporeni Business Incubator was created on the basis of the Policy Matrix for the Sectoral Support Programme ‘Economic Boosting in Rural Areas’, financed by the EU, in line with the priorities of the Government of the Republic of Moldova in establishing business support infrastructure suited to the needs of the business environment, particularly in rural areas.

Between 2011 and 2013, the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM) with the financial support of the EU created 6 Business Incubators in the districts of the Republic: Ștefan-Vodă, Leova, Rezina, Sângerei, Coșnița (Dubăsari), Ceadâr-Lunga. The Moldovan Business Incubators Network – RIAM was also established in December 2013.
