Moldovan furniture industry presents its innovations to the ‘Mobile Exo 2024’ with the support of ODA
7 November 2024, Chisinau — The Deputy Director of the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship, Nina Potga, participated today in the inauguration of the XXII of the Exhibition “Mobile Exhibition”. The event runs from 7 to 10 November 2024, in Moldexpo, and brings together more than 25 top companies, which expose their products, offering a variety of furniture, decor, other, jallusions and many others – all needed to turn the home space into a dream.
‘ Today we bring together the talent and creativity of local producers together with our shared commitment to the development of a competitive, innovative and sustainable sector. ODA stands out through ambitious commitments in support of entrepreneurship. One of the most valuable aspects of the partnership with entrepreneurs participating in such events is the support provided through the programme for subsidising participation in fairs and exhibitions”, said Nina Potga.
Through the programme for subsidising participation in fairs and exhibitions, ODA provides financial support for firms in the Republic of Moldova to expose their products and expand their partnership networks. In 2022-2024, 544 economic agents were subsidised, with subsidies amounting to lei 2.5 million. Of these, 30 entrepreneurs benefited from subsidies for participation in Expo mobilea, with a total value of more than lei 120 thousand.
In addition, another example of ODA commitment is the success of the 43 mobile companies in the country which, over the past three years, have benefited from grants from the Government and the European Union totalling lei 16.5 million. The total investment in the economy, generated by these grants, amounts to lei 41.8 million, strengthening the furniture industry and creating new jobs.
In addition, eight mobile companies took advantageous loans worth more than lei 8 million, under the Government Programme 373, generating an additional investment of more than lei 10 million in the economy.
In the context, I would recall that only 4 days remained for the submission of requests for inclusion of exhibitions and fairs in the schedule of the subsidised events for next year. The closing date for the submission of applications is 10 November 2024. Compliance with this deadline is essential to facilitate the approval and allocation of grants so that each eligible event receives the necessary support.
