“Legal and practical aspects of obtaining the status of social enterprise” was the topic Webinar and Workshop held on 2 November 2021, by Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODSME) in the Republic of Moldova. The event was supported by Vasile Vulpe, Business Consultant.

The webinar explained the legislative conditions under which the status of social enterprise can be obtained, from the legal to the financial form. The areas of activity of social entrepreneurship were also exemplified.

Information was also provided with reference to the documents required to be submitted to the National Commission for Social Entrepreneurship in order to obtain the status of social enterprise.

Thus, the file (paper or electronic) containing the following documents:

1) The model request for granting or extending the status of social enterprise or insertion social enterprise;

2) The minutes of the general meeting of members or founders approving the amendments and/or additions to the instrument of constitution;

3) Copy of the identity card of the applicant’s administrator or delegated person;

4) The declaration on honour that the applicant meets the conditions laid down in Article 36/3 (1), as applicable, and (2) of Law No 845/1992 on entrepreneurship and businesses.

In the framework of Workshop case studies have been carried out to enable interested parties to adopt the procedure for obtaining the status of social enterprise and to anticipate the decisions of the National Commission for Social Entrepreneurship, depending on the specific nature of the economic activity.
