4 July 2025, Chisinau — June was a month in which the actions of the Moldovan government and international partners turned into real opportunities for entrepreneurs, young people and local business.
Thus, in order to offset expenses for electricity, the Entrepreneurship Development Organisation paid lei 7.6 million, based on 255 applications submitted by companies in the manufacturing sector. This government support reduces the impact of energy costs on businesses. Applications can be submitted online, simply and quickly, via the EVO application or the MCabinet platform, in the dedicated module ‘Compensations’.
In the same month, under the “First Home PLUS” programme, 340 beneficiaries received state guarantees amounting to lei 252.5 million, which enabled housing loans totalling lei 394.8 million. The programme continues to make it easier for young people and families to access their homes.
In the entrepreneurial field, ODA disbursed a total of lei 15.06 million of non-repayable funding to 108 companies through the grant programmes it manages.
Of this total, 44 businesses benefited from external funds and 64 grants were provided from the state budget.
In addition, on the Day of the Entrepreneurship, celebrated on 27 June, other 105 local businesses were approved for financing, with a total support of more than lei 48.6 million, which will boost investment of more than lei 107.5 million in the domestic economy. The support is provided by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, which contributes lei 36.45 million to 57 companies, and the European Union, which supports 44 companies with lei 10.61 million through the “European Union for small and medium-sized enterprises” project.
Four companies also benefit from grants amounting to lei 1.5 million under the Small Producer Support Programme, part of the “EU4Moldova: Local Communities”, funded by the European Union, the governments of Germany, Austria and Poland and implemented by GIZ, ADA and SFPL in Moldova.
Under the Credit Guarantee Fund, 50 entrepreneurs benefited from guarantees totalling about lei 55.48 million, thus facilitating their access to bank financing for business expansion.
Moreover, under the Government Programme 373, 50 entrepreneurs took loans totalling lei 204 million for the implementation of investment projects worth lei 298 million.
For the loans granted under this programme, in June the government partly covered interest on loans by paying compensation amounting to lei 5.9 million.
In June as well, the new financing product made BGK Sustenable investments approved the financing, via banks, of 4 entrepreneurs worth lei 11.4 million, intended to implement investment projects worth lei 17.7 million thousand for companies’ energy efficiency.
