Women entrepreneurs in the Republic of Moldova can obtain grants for export-oriented business and innovation. The Organisation for the Development of the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Sector (ODIMM) launched Component III of the Mea in Business Programme – support for growing companies – which provides non-repayable financing of up to lei 1649000.

“The pandemic crisis has made us reviewing our plans and finding new development opportunities. To help women implement the most innovative projects, we are launching together with the IMMO “Fem for Business” programme. Through this programme, grants of more than lei 1 million can be obtained. Money can be used to procure equipment and machinery, software solutions and consultancy”, mention Minister Sergiu Railean.

According to the Director General ODIMM, Iulia Costin at competition may apply companies created and managed by women, who have an economic activity in the Republic of Moldova for more than two years and who plan to increase their turnover and number of employees by expanding the selling market: “We call all female entrepreneurs who meet the eligibility criteria to submit a simplified business plan concept note in the electronic version on the official page of the IMMO”.

The large grant competition takes place in three phases:

•Phase I – Completing and submitting a concept note – simplified business plan of the business in electronic version on the official website of the ODIMM — www.odimm.md. Concept notes will be analysed on the basis of the evaluation grid by the Evaluation Committee of the Programme established under the ODIMM and independent experts (where applicable);

•Stage II – the entrepreneurs selected following the assessment of the Concept Notes will be invited to present the investment projects to the Evaluation Committee and independent experts (as appropriate);

•Step III – Applications selected in Stage II, within 30 calendar days of the notification date, will be invited to develop the Form for Participation in Stage III and submit the full set of acts in both physical and electronic form.

Files describing concept notes are received by DSOs for SMEs under the same regime online by 26 April 2020.
