3 September 2025, Chisinau In August, joint efforts by the Moldovan government and international partners turned into concrete results and new opportunities for entrepreneurs, young people and local business.
Thus, in order to compensate for electricity expenses, the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship assessed and accepted 356 applications submitted by companies in the manufacturing sector, for which lei 5.63 million have already been disbursed and lei 8.79 million are set to reach the companies’ accounts in the next period. In total, more than lei 87 million were granted to entrepreneurs to compensate for electricity expenses from January to August 2025.
This government support reduces the impact of energy costs on businesses. Applications can be submitted online, simply and quickly, via the EVO application or the MCabinet platform, in the dedicated module ‘Compensations’.
In the entrepreneurial field, ODA disbursed a total of lei 19.62 million in non-repayable financing for 140 companies through the grant programmes it manages. Of this total, 51 businesses benefited from EU funds and 89 grants were provided from the State budget.
Moreover, during August, another 66 companies in the Republic of Moldova benefited from grants totalling lei 39.5 million, which will stimulate investment of lei 64.6 million in the domestic economy. The support is provided by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, which contributes 10 million lei to 29 companies. In addition, other 37 companies benefit from grants totalling lei 29.6 million from the Programme to increase the competitiveness of local producers and integration in value chains, financed by the Government and the World Bank Group, through ODA and the World Bank’s Competitiveness Implementation Unit.
Through the Credit Guarantee Fund, 43 entrepreneurs benefited from guarantees totalling about lei 54.65 million, thus facilitating their access to finance for business expansion worth lei 153.56 million.

Moreover, under the Government Programme 373, 25 entrepreneurs took loans totalling lei 106 million to implement investment projects worth lei 159 million.

For the loans granted under this programme, in August the State partly covered interest on loans by paying compensation amounting to RON 8.6 million.

In August, the new financing product also approved BGK Sustenable investments for 7 entrepreneurs worth lei 8.4 million for the purpose of implementing investment projects worth lei 10.1 million, for the energy efficiency of companies.
