Grant ceremony at Antreprenor Expo 2024
10 October 2024, Chisinau. The first day of the Antreprenor Expo 2024 ended with the grant ceremony for 75 small and medium-sized companies in the Republic of Moldova. Of these, 46 enterprises received non-repayable financial support from the European Union and 29 from the sources of the State budget. The total grant amounts to RON 37.7 million.
Grants were accessed through programmes managed by the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship, including the Women’s Entrepreneurship Support Programme, ‘START for Young’ Programme, ‘PARE 1+ 2’ Programme, the Digital Transformation Programme for the HID, the SME repowering and Energy Efficiency Programme, the EHMM Greening Programme.
At the beginning of the event Dumitru Alaiba, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, reiterated the Government’s commitment to facilitate entrepreneurs’ access to support mechanisms through which they can expand their business.
“Through our reforms and packages of debureaucratisation, we seek to remove as much as possible from the bureaucratic burden on people’s kills of business. And entrepreneurial support programmes have become more dried to access thanks to this commitment. Not a first one here" said Dumitru Alaiba.
Miroslav Bozic, Programme Officer within the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Moldova, stressed the importance of partnership with Moldovan authorities for the development of the economy.
“The partnership we have with ODA and the Moldovan government is in support of SMEs to modernise, make them more efficient, productive, sustainable and sustainable. Many grants awarded are directed in the industrial field, that would mean that the country’s economy is moving towards value-added sectors,” said Miroslav Bozic
In the margins of the event, the Director ODA, Vadim Codreanu complemented:
“We have achieved such performance with the continued support of the European Union and the Government, for which we are deeply grateful. ODA remains the trusted partner of entrepreneurs. ’
Since the beginning of the year, ODA has supported 431 companies, facilitating their access to grants totalling more than lei 180 million, financed by contributions from the European Union and the Government of the Republic of Moldova.
