4 April 2025, Chisinau — 663 entrepreneurs across the country have benefited from advantageous loans, developing businesses that bring economic stability and opportunities for communities. More than 9.900 people work in companies developed through Government Programme 373, while 1.969 jobs are to be created.

Loans totalled lei 2.7 billion, while investments generated in the domestic economy reached lei 4 billion.

This money has been directed towards small and medium-sized business development, thus strengthening an essential segment of the economy and giving entrepreneurs the chance to expand their business and create new, well-paid jobs here at home.

The geographical distribution of investment projects covers all country raios, the largest investments being made in the Centre and the City of Chișinău, with more than lei 1.3 billion per region, followed by North region, with investment amounting to lei 717 million, and the South region, including UTA Găgăuzia, with lei 200 million.

The diversity of the sectors in which these investments have been made demonstrates the impact of the programme on energy production and supply, which attracted 45 % of the total value of projects, manufacturing – 16 % and transport and storage – 15 %. Significant investments were also made in health, education and leisure.

Launched in July 2023, the 373 programme has constantly evolved to meet the needs of entrepreneurs. Access to finance has been extended and procedures have been simplified. Currently, SMEs in sectors such as trade (except those trading alcoholic beverages and tobacco) and the maintenance of motor vehicles can access finance more easily.

The maximum amount of credit has been increased from 15 to 40 million lei and the possibility to finance the purchase of raw materials and materials necessary for the production or provision of services is now up to 30 % of the value of the investment project. In addition, the maximum guarantee ceiling was increased from 40 % to 80 % of the loan amount through the Credit Guarantee Fund.
