Patrat logoThe Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM) launches Component II of the Women in Business (PFA) Pilot Programme for Small Grants for Women’s Business Development. Applications for the first grant call can be submitted between 16 October and 30 November by filling in the form on the website www.odimm.md. The best business ideas of female entrepreneurs will receive funding for their development. A further 2018 calls will be launched during 2.
Women who manage a business for up to 2 years can participate in the Grant Component. The maximum grant amount will constitute RON 165 thousand, of which RON 110 thousand is channelled for the procurement of equipment, software and renovation works, and the remaining RON 55 thousand for business development services: research, consultancy and promotion.
We recall that under Component I of the Women in Business Programme (PFA), more than 300 women across the country have been trained and guided to start their own business. Future entrepreneurs have developed their short-term planning skills, defined personal success factors and turned ideas into viable business concepts.
The more than 300 female entrepreneurs will also receive mentoring services from 28 business experts. They will be guided in using business planning and development tools and methods, identifying the types of resources needed to launch and developing their own business plan to participate in the grant competition.
In autumn 2016, the Government of the Republic of Moldova launched the Women in Business Pilot Programme. The project is managed by ODIMM and aims to promote women’s entrepreneurship, especially in rural areas, develop and grow their businesses, increase access to financial resources, services and modern technologies. The implementation period of the programme is 3 years, for which RON 51.5 million is allocated from the state budget.
