The top 8 Moldovan companies will receive grants through Of the programme for the repowering and energy efficiency of small and medium-sized enterprises. Company managers today signed grant contracts with the Entrepreneurship Development Organisation (ODA). The total amount of grants is around 6,4 million leiand the volume of investment in the economy will be around 17,8 million lei. Of the total number of companies selected for funding, 5 business is active in urban environmentand 3 I am in rural.

Thus, 6 SMEs receive a grant of 50 % of the investment for the technology and repowering of businesses, but not more than RON 2 million for the automation of the production process; robotisation of production and repurposing with high-performance equipment.

Other 2 companies access grants up to RON 1.5 million for energy efficiency, which will constitute 50 % of the investment cost, with money being channelled to purchase photovoltaic panels for the production of electric current.

Marina Ghenciu, Deputy Director ODA, congratulated the recipient companies, stressing that the investments, which will be bundled with financial support from the state, will add value to the company and have economic effects in the short term.

We would point out that economic operators interested in accessing financial support through this programme will be able to benefit from free expertise in identifying the energy needs of entrepreneurial activity in order to be able to submit investment projects. Thanks to the partnership between ODA and the Future Technologies Project (funded by USAID and the Government of Sweden), the Georgian Association Green City Lab it provides economic operators with the necessary support to correctly identify the technical needs in the implementation of energy efficiency measures and to correctly identify and use the tools to recover alternative energy sources.
