First results of this year’s RIAM work
The working meeting of the Consultative Council of the Network of Business Incubators of the Republic of Moldova (RIAM) presented the performance indicators achieved following the achievement of the 2019 activity plan.
Currently, 11 resident companies are active in the 204 Business Incubators, members of RIAM, of which 149 provide services and another 55 are active in production and processing. At the same time, 101 are start-ups, 106 are run by young people and 108 companies are run by women. A total of 937 jobs were created, of which 549 were for women and 442 were offered to young people.
The mechanism for providing financial support from revolving funds managed by business incubators was also discussed at the hearing.
The way and processes to incubate virtual residents was another topic on the agenda. This mechanism will allow companies to benefit from the support of incubators for 3 years without being located in their premises. Entrepreneurs will have access to information, mentoring, continuous training and funding sources.
The Business Incubators Network in Moldova was established by ODIMM with the support of the European Union in 2013. The network currently includes eleven incubators: Cahul, Călărași, Cimișlia, Ceadâr-Lunga, Dubăsari, Leova, Nisporeni, Rezina, Sângerei, Soroca and Ștefan Vodă.
