12 March 2026, Chisinau - The Organization for Entrepreneurship Development, founded by the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, announces the issuance of the first Financing Decision under the “FACEM Impact” product, part of the “SME Development Facility in the Republic of Moldova” project, financed by the German Government through the German Development Bank (KfW).

The first beneficiary of the “FACEM Impact” financing product is an entrepreneur from Chișinău with 12 employees, operating in the wholesale trade of hardware equipment and supplies for heating installations and water systems.

The financial support was accessed through the partner bank Victoriabank and will be used to expand the business by purchasing a real estate asset necessary for the current activity of producing water pumping/chlorination stations and for storing goods inventory.

The value of the financing granted is 5 million lei, while the total value of the investment project amounts to 17 million lei. The entrepreneur signed a credit agreement with the bank for a period of 10 years. To facilitate access to financing, the entrepreneur also benefits from a financial guarantee worth 1.744 million lei, provided through the Credit Guarantee Fund within ODA, a mechanism that allows partial coverage of the credit risk.

The “FACEM Impact” financing product is also available to SMEs through four other partner banks: Energbank, OTP Bank, MAIB and Moldindconbank.

We emphasize that the financing is provided in the national currency, and the entire mechanism is coordinated by the Moldova Entrepreneurship and Economic Growth Fund (FACEM) within the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development.

Entrepreneurs accessing the “FACEM Impact” financing product can obtain up to 5 million lei, with a fixed interest rate starting from 4%, for a repayment period of up to 10 years, negotiated with the partner bank.

In addition, entrepreneurs may negotiate a grace period for the repayment of the investment loan and may benefit from VAT exemption with the right of deduction for goods and services paid from the credit funds.

At the same time, the investment project may also benefit from other forms of support for access to financing (grants, financial guarantees) managed by ODA, in accordance with national regulations and the institution’s internal rules.
