Export Accelerator: 250 Enterprises from the Republic of Moldova to Benefit from Export Development Support
June 22, 2026, Chișinău – The Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA), together with the World Bank Group and with the support of the Government of the Republic of Moldova, launches the Export Accelerator, a program designed for small and medium-sized enterprises seeking to strengthen their export capabilities and expand their presence in international markets. Through this initiative, 250 companies from the Republic of Moldova will receive specialized assistance in developing export strategies and preparing to access competitive foreign markets.
“Export development is essential for enhancing the competitiveness of the Republic of Moldova’s economy and integrating our companies into international value chains. Through the Export Accelerator, we provide entrepreneurs with the tools, expertise, and support necessary to adapt their products and processes to the requirements of foreign markets, while also contributing to the development of a national support ecosystem that will generate sustainable long-term results,” stated Vadim Codreanu, Director of ODA.
“This program complements the initiatives implemented so far with the support of the World Bank and ODA. It is aimed both at companies that are already exporting and wish to expand into new markets or segments, and at businesses that have reached a certain level of maturity and are ready to grow through exports. Companies are not required to allocate financial resources for participation, but rather time, openness, and willingness to collaborate with the consulting team,” noted Aureliu Casian, Executive Director of the Competitiveness Enhancement Project Implementation Unit.
The program’s implementation methodology is tailored to the practical needs of companies and seeks to provide answers to the questions exporters face when preparing to enter foreign markets.
“Our team consists of specialists with extensive business experience, and we are well aware of the challenges exporters face. The program we will implement will help companies obtain practical answers to essential questions: Are we ready for export? What are we missing? What and how should we improve? Who is our buyer? Which markets and channels should we prioritize? How do we set prices? How do we promote our products? How do we increase volumes? What expertise do we need and where can we find financing for development? Thanks to this holistic approach, even companies at the beginning of their export journey will receive a clear, step-by-step system and a well-defined action plan by the end of the program,” said Tatiana Burcă, Export Programs Coordinator at Export Agency, the company implementing the program.
By transferring expertise and building a network of local specialists in export development, the program will contribute to strengthening the national support ecosystem for business internationalization and increasing the competitiveness of Moldovan companies in foreign markets over the long term.
