IMG 2602editedThe Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova – Romania in partnership with the Organisation for the Development of the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Sector through the European Enterprise Network (EEN) organised the second edition of the Forum of Excellence in Business on 15 May 2018 in Chisinau, attended by representatives of the Government of the Republic of Moldova and Romania, the business environment, investors and support organisations in the field of entrepreneurship from the two countries. The event aimed to promote the economic opportunities offered by the Republic of Moldova to Romanian companies.

The President of the Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova – Romania, Constantin VIERU, stated at the event that “Excellence in Business” is a unique and excellent platform for an open and constructive dialogue where the new opportunities offered by the Republic of Moldova are addressed.IMG edited edited
“I am convinced that through the combined efforts of business and the public sector on both sides of the Prut we will be able to capitalise on the economic potential of the Republic of Moldova and make it competitive on the European market,” said Constantin VIERU.

Present at the Forum, Chiril Gaburici, Minister of Economy and Infrastructure of the Republic of Moldova, mentioned that Moldovan-Romanian trade and economic relations are constantly on the rise, Romania ranks 3th among the countries that have invested in the domestic economy.

In this context, Chiril Gaburici stressed that “Moldova is attractive as an investment platform, we want Romanian companies to be in industrial parks, we want to seize all opportunities for the benefit of both countries”.

Dănuț Andrușcă, Minister of Economy of Romania reiterated that the development of bilateral relations with the Republic of Moldova is a priority for the Bucharest authorities. The Romanian official launched a message encouraging Romanian companies to cross the Prut to strengthen “economic twinning”.


IMG 2647 editedOxana Paladiciuc, Programme Coordinator at the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM) said that in Moldova SMEs are a key sector of the economy.
Oxana Paladiciuc presented the support programmes managed by ODSMEs that have an impact on the development of the business environment in the Republic of Moldova, with a focus on the programme for attracting remittances “PARE 1 + 1, the Credit Guarantee Fund, the Business Incubators, the Women in Business Pilot Programme and the Enterprise Europe Network.

The organisers provided participants with face-to-face meetings with potential business partners from Romania, the Republic of Moldova and Türkiye, selected according to the scope of activity of the companies and the cooperation proposals provided by the interested companies.

The Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova – Romania is an autonomous, non-governmental, apolitical organisation, with legal personality, of public utility, intended to represent, defend and support the interests of its members and of other economic operators in the Republic of Moldova and Romania, in order to develop trade and services in accordance with the requirements of the market economy.

The Enterprise Europe Network is the largest support network for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises worldwide, with more than 3000 experts and almost 600 member organisations from more than 60 states. The project is co-financed by the COSME programme 2014-2020 and is a key instrument of the European Union’s strategy for boosting growth and creating jobs. The Enterprise Europe Network aims to provide integrated services to support internationalisation, innovation and the promotion of business-to-business relations within the business community.
