The beneficiaries of the PARE 1 + 1 programme marked International Women’s Day at the workshop “Together we grow BUSINESS at the power of FEMININ!”
On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, ODIMM, under the PARE 1 + 1 programme, organised Workshop “Together Creating Business at FEMININ PUTETION!” with the participation of 35 business women, beneficiaries of the PARE 1 + 1 Programme. The event was an interactive one, during which ideas, opportunities and trends were presented from the unique perspective of women in business.
In her welcome speech, Ms Iulia Iabanji, Director-General of ODIMM, wished to congratulate the businesswomen and mentioned that in the Republic of Moldova, unfortunately, the number of female entrepreneurs is lower than that of men, while at the same time those who work are a good example to follow.
‘Men are more courageous and always ready to risk, which is crucial in business. In contrast, female entrepreneurship is characterised by stability. The female entrepreneur is always concerned by the collective, the creation of better social conditions and the organisation of promotional events ", said Ms Iulia Iabanji.
At the workshop, a seminar was held on the topic of “Secret of Efficient Sales”, presented by Ms Natalia Gudima, founder and CEO of two companies, one in the construction sector – S.R.L. Prof System and the other in business consultancy – S.R.L. Success Technology. The presentation was based on an analysis and understanding of human behaviour and emotional states such as happiness, interest, boredom or anger. Knowing and identifying these states in the surrounding people can solve a number of organisational problems, including selecting staff within the company, motivating them, but also approaching clients correctly.
Subsequently, the 13-year-old entrepreneur Mădălina Crețu gave a brief overview of her work and demonstrated that the game and creativity gave rise to outstanding work. At the same time, Mădălin’s mother spoke about methods to promote entrepreneurship among children and urged all mothers to support their children in exploring and identifying their own capacities. “Although difficult, say YES to children. When will you ask for an empty box, don’t ask for what? Say a simple YES! ", said Veronica Crețu.
The event continued with a culinary surprise prepared by the organisers, in partnership with beneficiaries of the PARE 1 + 1 programme. In an atmosphere of spring celebration, accentuated by the multitude of colours of the tulips offered by Mr Victor Frînea, the ladies had the opportunity to taste snails, reared on Mr Vilen Cebotari’s farm, and wine from Purcari.
Please note that the event was dedicated to business women, beneficiaries of the PARE 1 + 1 programme. Between 2010 and 2013, ODSMEs concluded grant contracts cumulatively with 313 companies created and developed from migrant workers’ financial sources, 27 % of which are established or managed by women.
