ODIMM marked National Youth Day 2013
On 11.11.2013, on the occasion of the Day
Youth Nationals, ODIMM representatives attended a meeting with students of the State Unniversion of Moldova, Faculty of Economics.
The meeting presented statistical data on the economic, social and demographic situation of young people, information on young people’s involvement in entrepreneurial activity, business development opportunities created and managed by people aged 18-35.
Statistics show that globally, 13 % of young people, or 75 million people, are unemployed and many are under-employed. As a result, more and more young people are turning to starting their own businesses.
ODIMM collaborators presented the profile of a successful entrepreneur, some tips for future entrepreneurs, support programmes for them, and the “Success stories of young businessmen”.
National Youth Day is marked annually on the second Sunday of November, in accordance with Government Decision No 552 of 7.10.1996. This event is celebrated through a series of actions and events dedicated to young people, which aim to increase young people’s participation in decision-making as well as their role in public life.
