According to the Director-General of ODIMM, the results of the market segmentation study carried out by ODIMM, in collaboration with the World Bank, could be used as a collaborative platform, which identified several sub-sectors with growth potential, including IT, electronics and electrical goods, metallurgy, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, rubber and plastics, mineral products, etc. Based on this study, organisations could join forces to give support to enterprises in these areas in order to stimulate the development of the economy.


Another area of collaboration, according to Yulia Iabanji, would be working together to create an interest-driven interconnection between small and large companies in the Republic of Moldova.

Vitalie Zaharia, CEO MIEPO mentioned that the collaboration of the two institutions will focus on promoting SME products and services both in the internal and international markets.


According to Vitalie Zaharia, the focus will be on preparing companies by supporting the development of manufacturing capacities which will ultimately make the products and services offered by SMEs more competitive.


MIEPO and ODIMM are institutions founded by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Moldova with the aim of developing the business environment in the Republic of Moldova by promoting and implementing coherent policies to develop the country’s economic competitiveness.
