ODIMM, with the support of the European Commission, through the assistance facility TAIEX, organised the Workshop “Innovation and entrepreneurship”. Over two days, 27 and 28 June, representatives of different R & D & I institutions and representatives of SMEs were able to learn about European best practices in the field. Purpose of the workshop it was the development of participants’ skills to understand and analyse the role of innovation and to advise on innovative business. business in terms of risk and financing.

Opening the event, Ms Iulia IABANJI, Director-General ODIMM, said that Inovation is an essential part of the operationteconomic sectors andI social, who ensure business success and appreciated TAIEX support, through which experts from Portugal, Italy, Bulgaria, Poland and the United Kingdom shared their experience in this area.

On the first day of the workshop, experts addressed general notions of innovation and entrepreneurship, models to drive change and sustainable development, successful tools applied in European countries, as well as methods to adapt them to the realities of the Republic of Moldova.

On the second day of the workshop, participants had the opportunity to gather information and develop practical skills to use managerial and financial tools to support innovative businesses and identify the opportunities and risks they entail.

TAIEX (Technical Assistance and Information Exchange) is the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange tool managed by the Directorate-General for Enlargement of the European Commission. The instrument aims to assist beneficiary countries in the approximation of their national legislation to the EU acquis, policies and internal practices. TAIEX is intended for accession countries as well as for Member States in the first years after accession.
