Benefits of the association: ‘LONG HORIZONS FOR SMALL BREEDERS’
ODIMM continues this year’s campaign ‘Benefits of the association’. Thus, in the framework of the “Made in Moldova”, the first workshop of this year took place, which was intended for quinchilla breeders. The event under the theme “Large Horizons for Small Breeders!” took place today, 30 January at 10.00 in the premises of ODIMM with the participation of 22 farmers.
Small quinyl farmers face major difficulties as the given type of activity is new to our country, i.e. there is limited domestic experience. During the event, entrepreneurs had the opportunity to discuss problems, exchange experiences, and the transfer of technology and know-how from one entrepreneur to another was extremely important and useful for success in the businesses concerned.
Entrepreneurs also had the opportunity to talk to a veterinarian specialised in the field and a representative of the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA), who presented the conditions for obtaining authorisations for the import and export of quinchilla, the necessary opinions, the conditions for decustoms of both quinchilla and the fur already processed.
The “PARE 1 + 1” supports the development of 12 small quinyl farms created from
financial resources accumulated by migrant workers.
As a reminder, in 2014, ODIMM started the campaign. “Benefits of the association”it aimed to create a platform for communication between entrepreneurs in the republic and thereby promote cooperation between businesses.
General objective the aim of the campaign is to increase the competitiveness of economic operators (beneficiaries of the PARE 1 + 1 programme) by stimulating partnerships in priority areas and developing their capacities/skills in the field of communication, promotion and sales growth.
Specific objectives:
• Establishing partnerships between economic operators;
• Developing business skills and competences of the beneficiaries of the PARE 1 + 1 Programme;
• Informing entrepreneurs and promoting the PARE 1 + 1 programme, as well as disseminating information about other entrepreneurship development programmes – increasing information and awareness of the need and possibilities to access credit or other financing projects;
• Establishing and supporting direct relations and cooperation between economic operators and public authorities.
Target Group: Beneficiaries of the PARE 1 + 1 Programme
A series of workshops is organised as part of the campaign, helping to improve entrepreneurs’ perception of the importance of association and cooperation.
The series of events is geared towards identifying economic operators’ development opportunities, facilitating the exchange of information, developing relations with public authorities.
Training is organised at the workshops, where guests, grouped by areas of interest, identify opportunities for collaboration, analyse difficulties and problems they face, seek solutions, discuss opportunities for increased sales.
During 2014, 2 workshops were carried out.
