7 August 2025, Chisinau — The amount of compensation to entrepreneurs for electricity reached lei 81.1 million. Data cover the period January-July 2025 and the measure is part of the compensation programme launched by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, with the financial support of the European Union.

In these seven months, 721 unique beneficiaries received programme support, and in total, the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalisation together with the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship approved 2.340 applications.

Also under this programme, the Intervention and Payments Agency for Agriculture (AIPA) supported farmers with compensation totalling lei 21.68 million.

The programme remains active throughout 2025 and entrepreneurs can apply 100 % online, either via the EVO application or via the MCabinet platform.

In order to better respond to the needs of the business environment, the programme has been adjusted during implementation. The most important changes include:

extension of the deadline for submitting applications from 10 to 30 days;
removing the 3 % eligibility threshold to allow access to more beneficiaries;
extending the duration of the programme to the whole of 2025 (initially planned for only three months).
