Director of ODIMM and Minister of Economy talked to entrepreneurs in Nisporeni
ODIMM Acting Director Dumitru Pintea, together with Minister of Economy Sergiu Gaibu, paid a working visit to the Business Incubator (IA) in Nisporeni. Officials discussed with entrepreneurs and residents of the business incubator the new business support programmes offered by the Government through ODIMM and answered their questions.
Among the topics discussed were new business development possibilities, government subsidies in various areas, reorientation to other markets, training provided by ODIMM, but also possibilities to cover expenses for participation in various exhibitions. They also discussed projects in the district with the president of the district, Vasile Mărcuță, as well as opportunities to attract investors.
Minister for the Economy, Sergiu Gaibuhe mentioned that the Government continues to support the 11 business incubators for the creation and development of entrepreneurial support infrastructure in the regions.
“It is good that new jobs are being created in the Business Incubator and incubation facilities are being fully exploited by most companies. We want residents’ turnover to grow and incubated companies to diversify and implement innovative ideas. In this way, we turn our efforts to the regions, to work with local authorities and to support entrepreneurs. We want to strengthen ODIMM’s advisory capacity to provide all necessary support here on the spot and avoid having to commute to Chisinau”specified Minister of Economy.
Dumitru Pîntea, ODIMM Acting Directorreiterated that ODSMEs provide a number of new tools for business incubators and economic operators in the regions.
“This year, we are working intensively to broaden the range of beneficiaries of ODIMM programmes, developing other entrepreneurial support instruments. Thus, for 2022, we have a financial envelope of approximately RON 400 million, which will be geared towards supporting small and medium-sized enterprises. At the same time, we removed the guarantee fee (0.5 %) for all guarantee products offered by ODIMM for the year 2022, the guaranteed credit rate up to 80 % was extended to all ODSME guarantee products. We want to strengthen dialogue with business incubators to become the main promoters of economic development in the regions” stated Dumitru Pîntea.
Officials also visited the businesses of the incubator’s residents, including the Carchilan family, who make decorative, hand-painted candles, and benefited from the grant obtained from the programme “Women in business”.
“My daughter brought some scented candles from Iași, and we also tried to make a candle. We found paraffin debris through our house, candles, melted them and the first candle was poured into a plastic cup. We seemed superficial, at the moment, but now we realise that it was something primitive, but it was beautiful for us.” he told the entrepreneur, Angela Carchilanit has business development plans and has signed up to the new training programmes offered by ODIMM.
IA Nisporeni was created in 2014 by the Organisation for the Development of the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Sector, with financial support from the European Union.
Between 2014 and 2021, 83 companies were incubated, of which 41 are graduates and 42 are resident. Of the total number of resident companies, 37 are in the field of services and 5 are producing companies. Of the 41 resident companies – 35 are start-ups, of which 21 are run by women and 31 are run by young people. Resident companies create 116 jobs, 54 for women and 70 for young people. Occupancy rate of the Nisporeni AI space – 100 %.
